Treiben lassen or hitchhinking trough the region of Los Rios!

!Lava im Schnee!

Well, the last weekend i spend some time with another german girl called Johanna and did a trip to the surrounding area of Osorno....
As my plans to go to the north and visit Valparaiso, Tanja and some friends failed this weekend i joined Johanna to visit the south of Chile!

Early in the morning i started to Osorno to meet her in Entre Lagos and go on to Aguas Calientes. Form here we started a trip to the mountains in the National Park pf Puyehue. Due to the weather and trail conditions we didn´t really have a choice and had to walk through a street. The forest was amazing but has to be discovered another time from the real inside!!
As a car stopped and asked us to take us up with them we did a speed drive and took the time in the afternoon to explore the mountain area of Antillanca.

As you can see here, we didn´t exactly ski, but used alternative ways to go down again. It was a lot of fun and a little cold.

Later on we found the totally obviously (according to the people working this skicenter and yes it is ironic) way to the vulcano i saw my first crater. In this big whole you could exactly here nothing which i obviously totally enjoyed! It´s e great nature out there.

After the “After-Ski”events for which we definitely were not perpared with our mountain clothes we took a beer. Here the cans are quite important!

A walk through the rain

Well the next day we started going down the 18th kilometer and had a wonderful conversation. After one and a half ours walk and more and more rain we decided another time to hitch. This worked out perfectly and so we spend the day with two argentinan guys: drinking mate, having a huge and big lunch and spending the day in Puerto Varas! This was the best thing for a day which was supposed to be us in the rain!

All in all, we had a spontanous great weekend.

Now I am back in Valdivia were i today worked with my group from “Destinos de Turisticos”. And the best news, especially for my Entwurfsgruppe aus Alemania es:
YES, they make Chuck Norris jokes in between the work!!! This reminds me a lot of you guys!!

At the moment i am staying with my roommate Diana, a columbian girl and we are starting to use chilenan terms in englisch: The chileans use a lot „po“. This doesn´t have any sense and especially is used in the south: So our favourt is “Waitpo” Which is like wait for me!

So, now i am curious for the next week as their is semana de patrias. The national day of Chile, with a lot of fiesta and traditional activties. I will tell you more about that soon.
Right now, i wish you all the best!!! Nos Vemos y
